In response to a surge in leaked examination papers and organised cheating ahead of intermediate exams, the Karachi Inter Board has formally requested the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to take immediate action.

A letter has been sent to the FIA’s Cyber Crime Wing, urging intervention against individuals involved in leaking exam papers and circulating solved answers on social media platforms. The board highlighted that this malpractice not only compromises the integrity of the exam system but also constitutes a cybercrime.

The letter stated that various WhatsApp groups and other online platforms are being used to leak examination materials and sell solved papers to students for money. Such actions, it added, are criminal and must be dealt with accordingly.

The intermediate exams in Karachi are scheduled to begin on May 5 and will continue until May 29. The board noted that cheating methods have evolved into digital scams, calling on the FIA to investigate these networks and take legal action against those responsible for managing them.
