India bans Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s YouTube channel
India banned Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s YouTube channel after his speech at Kakul Academy.
Following complaints from India, PM Sharif’s speech was also removed from YouTube.
Once the speech was uploaded, YouTube removed it after receiving a complaint from India, however, the company ensured that the video can be appealed.
During his speech, Sharif warned India that Pakistan would respond with ‘full force’ if its water supply was disrupted by India.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, while reiterating Pakistan’s strong condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, said that Pakistan, as a responsible country, was open to participating in any neutral, transparent, and credible investigation into the Pahalgam incident.
This week, India banned 16 Pakistani YouTube channels based on recommendations from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Additionally, well-known journalists like Muneeb Farooq, Umar Cheema, Asma Shirazi, and Irshad Bhatti have also had their channels blocked.
