Pakistani envoys step up global efforts to counter anti-Pakistan propaganda
Pakistani ambassadors are actively working to counter Indian propaganda that portrays Pakistan negatively.
Belgium
Ambassador of Pakistan to Belgium Rahim Hayat Qureshi on Tuesday met Director General for Bilateral Affairs at the Belgium Ministry of Foreign Affairs Birgit Stevens and discussed matters of mutual interests.
During the meeting, the two sides engaged in a comprehensive discussion covering the entire spectrum of Pakistan-Belgium bilateral relations, with particular emphasis on strengthening cooperation in political, economic, and people-to-people domains.
The ambassador also drew attention to India’s baseless propaganda and illegal unilateral measures against Pakistan.
US
Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, has urged President Donald Trump to step in and help ease soaring tensions between India and Pakistan as the US leader simultaneously strives to solve conflicts in Europe and Middle East.
“If we have a president who is standing for peace in the world as a pronounced objective during this administration, to establish a legacy as a peacemaker, or as someone who finished wars, defied wars and played a role in de-confliction, resolving the disputes,” Ambassador Sheikh said in an exclusive interview with Newsweek.
“I don’t think there is any higher or flashier flash point, particularly in nuclear terms, as Kashmir,” he added.
Iran
In Iran, Ambassador Mudassir Tipu described India’s latest actions as unlawful during a media interaction.
He said India cannot unilaterally suspend the Indus Waters Treaty, calling such moves violations of international law.
He warned that Pakistan’s National Security Committee had already deemed any water blockade an act of war and added that restrictions on cross-border movement could lead to a humanitarian crisis.
