PMD advises to take precautions during extreme heat
The Meteorological Department has issued a warning that a severe heat wave is anticipated to persist throughout most parts of Pakistan in the coming days, with temperatures expected to remain several degrees above normal.
Forecasts indicate hot and dry weather for Islamabad, Punjab, and Balochistan, leading officials to advise citizens to take necessary precautions during this extreme heat.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, temperatures are anticipated to rise by 6 degrees Celsius above normal, contributing to increased heat intensity.
Meanwhile, Sindh is expected to experience particularly harsh conditions, with temperatures likely reaching 7 degrees Celsius above normal.
Experts have specifically urged residents of Sindh to remain vigilant.
Even relatively cooler regions such as Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are forecasted to experience hot and dry weather.
