Over one died and three were injured as a violent clash erupted late at night in the Begu Khel area of Lakki Marwat district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, between terrorists and members of a peace committee.

Police reported that the terrorists employed heavy weapons during the encounter, while peace committee members returned fire with determination.

A rocket fired by terrorists hit two piles of wheat, starting a fire nearby.

The fight lasted about an hour before the terrorists ran away.

Authorities took the injured people to a nearby hospital and boosted security in the area.

In response, police began a search to catch the suspects involved in the attack.
