The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has mandated that all corporate entities and companies must electronically integrate their hardware and software systems with the national computerized platform for generating and transmitting electronic invoices by May 1.

This new regulation, issued through S.R.O.709(I)/2025, extends the requirement for electronic invoicing to all corporate and non-corporate taxpayers.

It will eliminate previous distinctions between sectors.

For non-corporate registered businesses, the FBR has set a separate deadline of June 1, 2025, to complete the integration process.

Previously, only FMCG businesses and Tier-1 retailers were required to comply with this system.
