Pakistan fully capable of responding to Indian aggression: Khawaja Asif
Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that Pakistan is in a strong position to respond to any Indian aggression, reminding India of the response it received in the form of Wing Commander Abhinandan after violating Pakistan’s airspace.
Speaking on a private TV channel, Khawaja Asif said the Indus Waters Treaty cannot be unilaterally revoked by India. “It is impossible for India to suspend the treaty on its own. The water of these rivers is Pakistan’s rightful share, and India cannot block it.
Twenty-five crore Pakistanis stand united under the green crescent flag,“ he asserted. “If India attempts any adventure, it must remember Abhinandan is now part of history.”
He reiterated Pakistan’s stance against all forms of terrorism. “We even condemn acts of terrorism in India with sincerity,” he added. “However, we reserve the right to take all necessary measures for our defence and will protect our soil.”

Defence Minister reveals arrest of Indian agent in Balochistan
In a significant revelation during the interview, the Defence Minister announced that Pakistan has arrested another Indian operative in Balochistan, similar to the case of Kulbhushan Jadhav.
Though Khawaja Asif did not disclose the name or further details of the arrested individual, social media has been abuzz in recent days with claims regarding the matter.
During the program hosted by Asma Shirazi, Khawaja Asif revealed that the individual was apprehended near the Iran-Afghanistan border and that the situation mirrors the Kulbhushan case. “Even today, links between terrorism in Balochistan and the TTP trace back to India,” he said.
A few days before the minister’s announcement, unverified reports on social media claimed that a man named Ashok Chaturvedi, allegedly involved in terrorist activities in Balochistan and responsible for operating anti-Pakistan social media accounts, had been arrested near the Pakistan-Iran border.
These reports further claimed that Chaturvedi was lured and detained under the pretext of meeting his handlers.
Following his reported arrest, several social media accounts involved in propaganda regarding Balochistan have reportedly gone silent.
It is worth recalling that Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav was captured from Balochistan in 2016. He later confessed to being a serving officer of the Indian Navy, holding the rank of commander.
In his interview, Khawaja Asif reiterated that terrorism in Balochistan is being orchestrated under Indian patronage. “Everyone knows what happened in the Jaffar Express incident. India is providing shelter to separatists. Baloch separatists even travel to India for medical treatment,” he said, adding that TTP’s links to India are also well-documented and supported by various pieces of evidence.
