Rawalpindi police carried out an operation at the Gorakhpur checkpoint, seizing several motorcycles and ordering PTI workers to vacate the area, sources said.

According to details, a large number of supporters, including former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s sisters and party leaders, had gathered at the checkpoint on Tuesday evening. In response, police launched an operation led by ASP Zainab Ayub to disperse the crowd.

During the operation, police forcibly shut down nearby hotels and intensified efforts to scatter the workers. A heavy police presence was reported at the site, and the situation turned tense. Surveillance in the area has been tightened due to security concerns.

Later, Aliya Khan, along with other sisters and cousin Qasim Zaman Khan, departed from Adiala for Islamabad.

Imran Khan’s family members denied access again

Today marked a designated meeting day for PTI founder Imran Khan at Adiala Jail.

Family members were also scheduled for visitation, but Salman Akram Raja was stopped at Dahgal checkpoint, while Aliya Khan, Noreen Khan, Uzma Khan, and cousin Qasim Khan were blocked at Gorakhpur checkpoint.

Later, Noreen Khan, Uzma Khan, and Qasim Khan were allowed access and reached Gate No. 5 of Adiala Jail. However, jail authorities claimed the meeting time had ended and sent them back without allowing them to see Imran Khan.

Speaking to the media outside the jail, Imran Khan’s sister Noreen Niazi said the family was kept waiting at the entrance for two hours before being turned away.

PTI leader Salman Akram Raja also addressed reporters, saying, “For the past three weeks, I and Imran Khan’s sisters have not been allowed to meet him. This is childish behaviour. No meeting has taken place between the founder and any American delegation, and I’m unaware of any backdoor negotiations happening at an individual level.”
