Pakistan’s second polio campaign for 2025 is scheduled to begin on April 21.
The Anti-Polio Program’s spokesperson announced that over 400,000 frontline workers will be involved in this initiative, aiming to administer polio vaccination drops to more than 45.4 million children across 159 districts nationwide.
The spokesperson emphasized that the ongoing presence of the polio virus continues to pose a significant threat in various regions, underscoring the necessity for children to receive multiple polio vaccinations to secure their futures.
Recent data from the polio program indicates that the persistence of these vaccination campaigns has contributed to a notable decline in polio cases in recent years.
