The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecasted additional rainfall in the coming days as Islamabad and its surrounding regions are currently experiencing intermittent rainfall following a severe hailstorm.

However, the recent downpours in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have led to the unfortunate loss of two lives and injuries to nine others.

A new wave of storms and rainfall has commenced in the upper regions of the country. Strong winds, rain, and hail have impacted areas such as Landi Kotal, where heavy hail has shattered windows of numerous vehicles at the Torkham border.

Nowshera is also facing ongoing intense rain and hail.

In Mardan, heavy rainfall has triggered flooding in local streams, while Haripur has reported disruptions to daily life due to strong winds, which have caused fallen trees and damaged power lines, resulting in power outages.

In Sheikhupura, a lightning strike claimed the life of an individual, while in Muzaffarabad, powerful winds uprooted roofs from several homes.

A young man in Rado Ambor lost his life due to a falling tree.

Rain accompanied by thunder continues to affect Taxila and Wah Cantt. Additionally, Ghizer and the surrounding areas have reported rain and snowfall in the mountains, further dropping temperatures.

The KP government has released a report detailing the damages caused by the recent rains over the past three days, confirming two fatalities and nine injuries from various incidents.
