Deputy PM Ishaq Dar to visit Bangladesh for key bilateral talks
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar is set to undertake an official visit to Bangladesh later this month as part of efforts to deepen bilateral ties between the two countries, diplomatic sources said.
According to sources, the visit is scheduled for April 26 and 27, and comes in the backdrop of recent high-level consultations held between the two nations.
The visit’s agenda was finalized during the sixth round of Pakistan-Bangladesh Bilateral Political Consultations held in Dhaka, where Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Muhammad Sajjad Qazi met top Bangladeshi officials.
Sources said Ishaq Dar will travel to Dhaka with a broad-based agenda aimed at strengthening cooperation in diverse fields including trade, public diplomacy, and defence. The visit is being viewed as a significant development in the context of regional diplomacy, with both sides showing willingness to explore areas of mutual interest and enhance people-to-people contacts.
