Man killed as mob surrounds worship place in Karachi
Police investigating the death
A man was killed in the Saddar area of Karachi on Friday after a mob allegedly surrounded the worship place of a religious minority.
“A mob surrounded the Ahmadiyya Hall, a worship place of the community, near the mobile market in Saddar on Friday afternoon while around 40 people were inside the building,” Amir Mahmood, a spokesperson of the Ahmadiyya Jamaat said.
Mahdmood claimed that a man died after being beaten by the mob.
Rescue sources told Aaj News that a man, who was identified as Laiq, 45, was allegedly beaten to death in the Saddar area during a clash and police were investigating the incident and the death.
The body was moved to the Civil Hospital.
