The National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC) has issued an alert for heavy rain, hailstorms, and strong winds in several parts of Punjab, including Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

According to NEOC, stormy weather with hail is expected in areas such as Attock, Chakwal, Gujrat, and Jhelum. Central Punjab districts, including Faisalabad, Hafizabad, Jhang, Khushab, Mianwali, Lahore, Narowal, Sahiwal, Sargodha, and Sheikhupura, may also be severely affected.

Strong winds and heavy downpours may lead to power outages, falling trees, and other accidents, the alert warns. Standing crops are also at high risk of damage, prompting authorities to advise farmers to take preventive measures.

The NEOC has urged the public to avoid unnecessary travel during this period and refrain from taking shelter under weak structures, poles, or trees during storms.
