Domestic worker Sonia, 10, dies following alleged abuse by employer in Hanjarwal

A 10-year-old domestic worker, Sonia, who has reportedly died as a result of violence inflicted by her employer in Hanjarwal, Lahore.

The police have filed a murder case against the employer, Nosheen, and her husband, Farukh Butt.

Both Nosheen and Farukh used to physically assault Sonia.

Sonia’s family was not taken to the hospital and was informed over the phone that the child had only minor injuries.

When Sonia’s parents arrived from Arifwala, they discovered their daughter lifeless on the floor.

The victim’s mother, Rabia, stated that the employer and her husband unjustly killed Sonia for not completing her tasks properly.

She stated that the employer failed to take her to the hospital, ultimately resulting in her tragic death.
