Three police officers killed in attack on van in Quetta’s New Sariab area

At least three police officers were shot and killed in an attack on a police van in the New Sariab area on Quetta’s Mastung Road.

The incident was captured on CCTV, and details have been obtained by Aaj News.

The bodies of the slain officers have been transferred to the Civil Hospital.

According to police, the New Sariab Police Station were on a routine patrol when five terrorists arrived on two motorcycles and opened fire.

The terrorists on the first motorcycle initiated the shooting, while three more arrived on the second motorcycle.

The attackers fired at the police vehicle, opening the door to shoot inside.

The martyred officers were identified as Sub-Inspector Abdul Wali, Constable Abdul Rehman and Constable Mukhtiar. The driver of the police mobile, Kher Baksh, sustained injuries and was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti condemned this attack, stating that the blood of the martyrs will be avenged.

He assured that the terrorists would be brought to justice and emphasized that there would be a strong response to those disrupting peace.

Bugti reiterated that the sacrifices of police personnel would not be in vain and that no leniency would be shown to those who threaten peace in Balochistan.
