Senior PPP leader Taj Haider passes away after brief illness
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Taj Haider has passed away after a brief illness, his family confirmed on Tuesday. He had been receiving treatment at a local hospital.
Taj Haider, a veteran politician and founding member of the PPP, was widely respected for his intellect, commitment to democratic values, and tireless service to the public.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the senior leader. In his condolence message, Shah said, “Taj Haider’s death is an irreparable loss not only to me but to every PPP worker. His passing has left a void that will be hard to fill for years to come.”
He further praised Haider’s political wisdom and dedication, stating, “Taj Haider was a thoughtful, mature, and refined political leader who always stood for democracy and public welfare.”
The Chief Minister also extended his condolences to the bereaved family, saying, “We share the grief of his children and loved ones. May Allah grant the departed soul a place in His infinite mercy and give patience to the family.”
Taj Haider played a significant role in PPP’s political journey over the decades and was known for his principled stance and literary contributions. His demise marks the end of a remarkable chapter in Pakistan’s political history.
