TTP operative who made social media threats arrested in Karachi
The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Intelligence Wing has arrested an important operative of the banned outfit “Fitna Al-Khawarij” near the Taj Complex in Karachi.
The suspect, identified as Khalil-ur-Rehman, was reportedly carrying weapons at the time of arrest, according to CTD in-charge Raja Umar Khattab.
Officials revealed that the suspect is affiliated with the Noor Wali Allah group and has received terrorist training in Afghanistan.
In December last year, he filmed videos of Mazar-e-Quaid and various locations across Karachi, which he later sent to Afghanistan. He then shared them on social media, threatening, “We are in Karachi.”
