Karachi to enjoy cooler temperatures with return of sea breezes
Residents of Karachi are set to experience cooler temperatures as sea breezes have resumed, according to the Meteorological Department.
This development is expected to alleviate the recent heatwave, signaling the end of dry weather conditions. Currently, the sky remains clear, accompanied by elevated humidity levels.
Over the past 24 hours, the maximum temperature recorded in Karachi reached 39.5 degrees Celsius. Today, temperatures are forecasted to range between 34 to 36 degrees Celsius, with minimum temperatures expected between 19 to 21 degrees Celsius. The current temperature is reported to be 21 degrees Celsius.
Winds are blowing from the west at a speed of 6 kilometers per hour, with an air humidity level of 88 percent.
In terms of air quality, Karachi is showing signs of improvement. The Air Quality Index (AQI) indicates that while the air quality has improved, Karachi ranks 44th among the most polluted cities globally, with a particulate matter concentration of 79 recorded in the air.
