Adnan Siddiqui: Time never changes, people do; the world remains the same
Renowned television actor and model Adnan Siddiqui emphasised the significance of patience and self-discipline during Ramazan, urging that these values should be practiced throughout the year.
Speaking in the special broadcast of ‘Baran-e-Rehmat’ Ramazan transmission, he remarked, “Fasting teaches us to empathise with the hunger of others. Observing prayers on time enhances their spiritual rewards, as Salah instills discipline in our lives. Time never changes; it is people who change, and the world remains the same.”
Reflecting on his journey in the entertainment industry, Siddiqui acknowledged his gratitude, stating, “It has been a long time in this industry, and I consider it a blessing from Allah.”
He also shared his daily routine, revealing, “I maintain a disciplined eating schedule. I eat twice a day — breakfast in the morning and dinner at 7pm. I do not follow a specific diet plan but prefer simple, balanced meals.”
Commenting on changing Ramazan traditions, he noted, “Times have changed. The culture of family gatherings for Suhoor and Iftar has diminished, with many now preferring to eat in their rooms. My mother used to prepare a special energy drink with milk and other nutritious ingredients, but the Ramadan atmosphere of the past seems to be fading.”
When asked about his community involvement, Siddiqui mentioned, “At my home, we continue the tradition of sending and receiving Iftar to and from our neighbours. I also ensure to check if the food delivery riders who come to our house have had their Suhoor and Iftar. My father used to prepare fruit chaat for Iftar, and in our home, even our domestic staff would sit at the table and eat with us.”
