Gold prices rise in Pakistan following international gains
Gold prices in Pakistan saw an increase on Friday, mirroring gains in international markets. The price of gold per tola rose by Rs3,000, reaching Rs307,000 on Friday.
The price for 10 grams of gold was recorded at Rs263,203, marking an increase of Rs2,571, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Thursday, the price of gold per tola had dropped by Rs3,000, settling at Rs304,000 in the local market.
Internationally, gold prices also rose on Friday, with APGJSA reporting a rate of $2,921 per ounce (including a $20 premium), reflecting a daily increase of $28.
The price of silver in Pakistan went up by Rs31, bringing it to Rs3,400 per tola.
