Here are the names of banned organisations, unregistered charitable institutions in Punjab
The Punjab Home Department has issued a list of banned organisations and unregistered charitable institutions in the province, advising citizens to review the list before giving donations to institutions in the holy month.
In an advertisement earlier this week, the provincial government released a list that carried as many as 84 names.
It also advised the citizens to file complaints if the welfare organisations were not fulfilling their duties as claimed, working for personal interests, running a campaign on forgery, or were involved in anti-state and terrorist activities.
According to the Punjab government, the purpose of releasing the list was to ensure that the donation reaches the deserving people.

“Providing any kind of assistance to banned organisations is a crime under the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997,” the Home Department said.
It warned that strict legal action would be taken against individuals or organisations found assisting banned organisations involved in terrorism and anti-state activities
“Registration with the Punjab Charity Commission is mandatory for charitable organisations in Punjab,” it added.
