Renowned television actress Sadia Imam has stressed the importance of human rights, urging people to shift their focus from measuring lives by worship to prioritising their duties towards others.

Speaking on Aaj TV’s “Baran-e-Rehmat” Iftar transmission, Sadia Imam reflected on the lessons life teaches, saying, “Life is full of ups and downs. You learn from people and their changing faces. When someone’s true nature is revealed, be grateful to your Creator. It is His mercy that He has shown you reality.”

She emphasised that Allah conceals human flaws, and this Ramazan, people should strive to seek His pleasure.

“Angels are created for worship, but we, as humans, are different. We make mistakes, but we also learn, repent, cry, plead, and even express affection towards our Creator.”

Fasting experience in Germany

Discussing her experience of fasting in Germany, where her husband resides, Imam shared, “We lived in Germany for three years, where fasts can last up to 24 hours — sometimes 21 to 22 hours. Iftar there happens as late as 11pm, while in Pakistan, people start preparing for Suhoor at that time. In Germany, the gap between Iftar and Suhoor is just three hours.”

Her daughter, Meerub, also participated in the show and recited a Na’at-e-Rasool Maqbool.
