KP to increase conveyance allowance for government employees with disabilities

Government seeks two-month period to finalise legislation

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has agreed to increase the conveyance allowance for government employees with disabilities in the province from Rs6,000 to Rs8,000 as the latter called off its protest after assurances.

The provincial government has sought two months from the employees.

Provincial Minister Qasim Ali Shah spearheaded the negotiations with the protesters.

The government has agreed to include medical treatment for special individuals in the Sehat Card programme and has assured that the stipend would be distributed before Ramazan.
