A shocking incident occurred on the United States House of Representatives floor when 76-year-old Congressman John Larson froze mid-sentence while delivering a speech on Social Security.

In his five-minute address, Larson suddenly stopped talking and appeared visibly distressed, raising concerns about a potential stroke.

Despite attempting to continue, his voice slowed and became silent.

Later that evening, a spokesperson disclosed that Larson likely experienced an adverse reaction to a new medication, and he is undergoing precautionary tests by the House attending physician.

The spokesperson reassured the people that Larson remained alert and engaged in meetings after the incident and was in “good spirits.”

The spokesperson expressed gratitude for the well-wishes the Congressman received. This is being done out of an “abundance of caution following the concerning incident during his speech.”

He had been voicing concerns about the Trump administration’s access to sensitive payment systems through the Treasury Department just before the incident occurred.

Larson has served his constituents since 1998 and was re-elected in November.
