A maid has been “caught” on camera allegedly physically abusing a child as a form of retaliation for being reprimanded about her work.

CCTV footage of the incident allegedly showed the maid striking the child multiple times. The footage revealed that when the child began to cry in his crib, the maid responded with violence.

The incident occurred after the child’s mother scolded the maid for negligence in her duties. The maid, employed through an agency by a resident of Askari 10, vanished after the child was taken for a medical examination.

Upon their return, the family discovered that the maid was missing along with cash and jewellery from the house, prompting a search for her.
