Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has denied attending an anti-China event in the United States, dismissing accusations from his opponents as “poisonous propaganda.”

Speaking to US media in Houston, Naqvi clarified that his presence at a youth event has been deliberately misrepresented. He emphasized that he did not participate in any anti-China function.

Naqvi’s visit to the US, he explained, aims to collaborate with American counterparts on developing effective counter-terrorism strategies.

He stressed that terrorism is a global issue, not solely Pakistan’s problem, and vowed a strong response against anyone who takes up arms against Pakistan.

The minister expressed concern over alleged attempts to incite the US House of Representatives against Pakistan. While acknowledging the right to political maneuvering, he cautioned against actions detrimental to Pakistan’s interests.

Naqvi described his meetings with members of Congress as “very positive.”
