JEE Main 2025: India’s National Testing Agency conducts engineering entrance exam
India’s National Testing Agency (NTA) administered the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 for aspiring engineering students on Thursday, Hindustan Times reported.
On the second day of the first session, candidates appeared for the exam in two shifts: the morning session from 9am to 12pm and the afternoon session from 3pm to 6pm.
Admit cards for the first three days of the exams could be downloaded from the NTA website.
The JEE Main 2025 session 1 is scheduled to take place on January 22, 23, 24, 28, and 29 for paper 1, with paper 2 (BArch/BPlanning) set for January 30.
Candidates have been urged to complete pre-exam procedures, including mandatory security checks, before entering the examination hall.
The authority has urged students to arrive at the exam venue by the reporting time specified on their admit cards, as no one would be permitted to enter once the gates close.
The authority has also asked candidates to bring only the items permitted inside the examination hall. They have been advised to arrange for the safekeeping of their personal belongings, as not all exam centres may provide this service.
Allowed items include the admit card (printed on A4-sized paper, preferably in colour), a recent photograph matching the one submitted with the application, a valid original photo ID, and any other specified documents.
