The alleged kidnapping of journalist Fayyaz Solangi in Khairpur, reported ten days ago, has been revealed as a hoax.

Police in Khairpur have recovered Solangi and arrested his uncle, who was allegedly involved in staging the kidnapping.

According to SSP Kashmore, Zubair Nazir Sheikh, Solangi fabricated the kidnapping in collaboration with his uncle. The SSP stated that Solangi had a land dispute with cousins and had filed a false case against them.

Police in Kashmore apprehended Solangi and his uncle, the main perpetrator of the staged kidnapping.
