Punjab Education Dept denies reports of extension in holidays
The Punjab Education Department has dismissed online rumors suggesting an extension to the ongoing winter school holidays. Despite persistent cold weather, the department has confirmed that schools across the province will reopen as scheduled on Monday.
Social media speculation regarding extended closures prompted the department to issue a statement clarifying that no decision has been made to prolong the winter break.
The department labeled the circulating reports as “fabricated” and urged parents and students to disregard them.
Secretary Schools and Education, Khalid Nazir Wattoo, further emphasized that the winter holidays will end as planned, with schools resuming classes on Monday. He reiterated the department’s commitment to the previously announced holiday schedule.
The department advises parents and students to rely only on official announcements from the Punjab Education Department regarding school closures and reopenings.
