The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has taken decisive action against K-Electric by issuing a show-cause notice for violations of net metering regulations.

The regulatory authority’s decision comes in response to multiple complaints from consumers who have installed solar systems but have been denied green meters. These complaints prompted NEPRA to investigate K-Electric’s failure to provide the required net metering connections.

Despite K-Electric’s attempts to address the issue by submitting responses to NEPRA’s inquiries, the authority found the company’s explanations unsatisfactory.

As a result, NEPRA has formally moved to hold K-Electric accountable for its non-compliance with the established regulations.
