Gold prices dip in Pakistan following intl market

Gold prices in Pakistan has experienced a decline on Saturday, following a decrease in international rates.

In the local market, the price per tola decreased by Rs700, bringing it to Rs275,500.

The cost for 10 grams of gold also saw a decline, down Rs600 to Rs236,197, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). This drop follows a significant rise on Friday, when gold prices surged by Rs1,800, reaching Rs276,200.

On the global stage, gold prices also retreated, with the APGJSA reporting a rate of $2,653 per ounce, which includes a $20 premium. This marks a $7 decrease from the previous day.

Meanwhile, silver prices remained unchanged at Rs3,050 per tola.

Notably, last week saw gold prices in Pakistan hit a record high of Rs277,000 per tola, highlighting the volatility in the precious metals market.
