Sepoy martyred, 4 terrorists killed as attack on PNS Siddique foiled

ISPR says safety of personnel and assets was ensured

A sepoy belonging to the Frontier Corps was martyred as security forces managed to thwart an attack on PNS Siddique in Turbat on Monday. All four terrorists involved in the attack were killed.

“On night 25/26 March 2024, terrorists attempted to attack Pakistan Naval Base, PNS Siddique in Turbat which was thwarted due to the swift and effective response by the troops ensuring the safety and security of personnel and assets,” Inter-Services Public Relations said in a statement.

“Security forces in the vicinity were immediately mobilized to support the naval troops. Synergetic & effective response by the armed forces enabled killing of all four terrorists in ensuing joint clearance operation,” ISPR added.

While repelling the attack, 24-year-old Sepoy Noman Fareed embraced martyrdom. He belonged to the FC.

“Pakistan Armed Forces remain committed to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country at all costs,” ISPR said.

Located in Turbat, Sourthern Balochistan, PNS Siddique is one of the largest naval air stations in Pakistan.
