Amin Gandapur proposes alliance with Jamaat-e-Islami for KP govt
Party leader says PTI representatives will join JI
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has approached the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) for the formation of a provincial government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
PTI’s Ali Amin Gandapur on Saturday held talks with JI’s Ameerul Azeem to discuss the possible alliance while barrister Muhammad Ali Saif has also forwarded the idea of a coalition government to in charge of JI’s political affairs Bahrullah Khan.
The PTI in its proposal suggested that its elected representatives will join the JI as the successful candidates in the election 2024 will need to join a political party according to the Election Act, 2017.
