With election results still seeming a long way off, Nawaz Sharif reportedly departed the Pakistan Muslim League secretariat on Thursday night.

Sources said that Nawaz had planned a victory speech but it could not be delivered and he left the party office for his home in Jati Umra.

His daughter, Maryam Nawaz, also accompanied him as he departed.

Junaid Safdar, Pervaiz Rasheed and Azam Tarar also departed with Nawaz.
