The ministry of religious affairs and interfaith harmony has initiated a prob against the 5th Pillar Takaful Limited for illegal booking for Hajj and Umrah.

The ministry urged for the issuance of a disassociation disclaimer on its website and social media platforms from the company and other such companies not registered with the ministry for Hajj and Umrah bookings.

Meanwhile, the Federal Investigation Agency has initiated an investigation against the company after it was found illegally engaged in Hajj and Umrah bookings.

A spokesperson for the ministry denied allowing takaful companies to engage in Hajj and Umrah bookings.

He advised the citizens to check for the company’s details and its status on the ministry website.
