The police initiated investigations after two unidentified armed men allegedly attempted to kidnap female students of Karachi University on Tuesday.

One of the students said that the female students of the varsity escaped after two men held guns at their heads and attempted to forcefully drag them into an auto rickshaw.

A police official of Mubina Police Station said that the police arrived soon after they were informed.

The police have started an investigation into the matter, he said, adding that the incident seemed like a street crime in the initial investigations.
