In a major announcemnt, Lahore Bar Association has banned the entry of the city’s police into the Lahore High Court.

A statement from the association on Friday said that no police officials would be allowed access to the province’s top court.

The association said that the decision had been taken in light of the police’s actions against lawyers in recent weeks.

They demanded that raids on lawyers’ homes and their harassment at the hands of police should end.
