Water supply to Karachi suspended as pipeline bursts
By
THATTA: Water supply to Karachi was suspended after a 72-inch pipeline ruptured at the Dhabeji pumping station.
A power breakdown caused the rupture in the pipeline supplying water to the port city’s three major pumping stations: North Karachi, COD and Pipri.
This has affected water supply to multiple areas of Karachi including Bin Qasim Town, Landhi, Malir, Korangi and areas around the Jinnah International Airport.
