Driver stops train mid-journey to get yogurt in Lahore

An assistant driver who stopped the train he was operating mid journey in order to get household supplies in Lahore has been suspended.

According to ARY News, the driver stopped the train at Kahina Kacha railway station of Lahore to buy yogurt.

Railways Minister Azam Khan Swati took notice of the incident after the video of the incident circulated on social media.

The minister said that such incidents will never be tolerated and ordered the suspension of the driver and the assistant driver.

Train driver Rana Muhammad Shehzad and assistant driver Iftikhar Hussain have been suspended following the minister's orders.
