Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering resolve to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity, declaring that there would be no compromise on the defence of the homeland amid heightened regional tensions.
In a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, the premier stated that the people of Pakistan and the armed forces remain fully prepared at all times to protect national security and ensure peace and stability within the country.
“Our forces are fully capable of crushing any aggressive ambitions,” the prime minister said, stressing that no harm would be allowed to come to Pakistan’s security or peace.
Shehbaz Sharif said the armed forces, operating under the leadership of the field marshal, are equipped with advanced professional capabilities, extensive training and effective defence strategies enabling them to respond to both internal and external challenges.
He emphasised that Pakistan’s military possesses the strength and preparedness required to thwart hostile designs against the country.
“There will be no compromise on the defence of the beloved homeland, and every act of aggression will receive a befitting response,” he said.
The prime minister noted that Pakistan has consistently promoted regional peace; however, the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity remain non-negotiable.
He reiterated that the armed forces would resolutely confront any aggression, adding that the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the military in safeguarding the country.
“The integrity of Pakistan will not be allowed to be undermined under any circumstances,” the premier said, underscoring national unity in defence of the country.
