Imran Khan’s sister urges public support over health concerns

PTI founder Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, urged people to come out in support of her brother’s health if the Supreme Court does not grant relief, calling for peaceful protests as a constitutional right.

Speaking to the media in Islamabad, Aleema Khan said a heavy responsibility lies on senior lawyers and named Ali Bukhari, Hamid Khan, and Latif Khosa, asking them to play an active role. She also appealed to the large number of lawyers within PTI to engage in the current situation.

Aleema Khan expressed concern over repeated adjournments in the hearing of her brother’s case, saying delays were ‘disturbing’ and that Imran Khan’s eye was affected.

She suggested further delays could arise due to a judge going on Umrah and a prosecutor observing I’tikaf in upcoming hearings.

She also questioned whether the doctors treating her brother were specialists in the relevant medical field.

Separately, Uzma Khan called for transparency regarding the PTI founder’s medical consultations and reports, emphasising that politics should not be played on his health.

Noreen Niazi said that while Imran Khan’s eyesight was reportedly fine earlier, it is now deteriorating, alleging that medical reports were being withheld and the true condition was not being disclosed.
