Social media influencer Naila Raja has issued her first detailed public statement following her marriage to former Pakistan international cricketer Imad Wasim, addressing criticism, speculation and reports circulating about her personal life.

In a lengthy message shared on Instagram, Raja described the marriage as one of the best decisions of her life and spoke about the emotional toll of online scrutiny.

She said gaining views and trends on social media may be easy, but their consequences in real life can be deeply painful.

Raja said only those who go through such experiences can fully understand the impact of public pressure, adding that even strong individuals have faced separation and intense scrutiny due to social media narratives.

Calling herself an ordinary woman, she said she built her career and life through hard work and initially spoke out because she believed there was a misunderstanding.

She said that despite standing up for herself, her character and dignity were repeatedly questioned.

The situation worsened, she added, when some journalists began discussing her private life, while unauthorised videos were circulated online, extending criticism to her family and in-laws.

Reaffirming her position, Raja said she stands by her decision despite past criticism.

She also stated that if Imad Wasim restores his relationship with his children in the future, she would accept them wholeheartedly.

“If Allah reunites us with his children, with the consent of everyone involved, I will welcome them with an open heart. I will care for them, love them, and raise them with kindness, respect, and responsibility alongside him,” she wrote.

The statement comes amid continued debate following Imad Wasim’s confirmation of his second marriage.

His former wife, Sania Ashfaque, earlier shared videos from the wedding and posted emotional messages online, seeking what she described as justice for her children and alleging unfair treatment.

In subsequent statements, she hinted at the involvement of a third person in the breakdown of her marriage and later made further allegations related to events in December 2023.

No official legal proceedings have been confirmed to date.

Imad Wasim, meanwhile, acknowledged that his first marriage had been unsuccessful and described that period as the most difficult phase of his life.

He said, however, that it blessed him with three children, whom he called the greatest gift of his life, and stressed that his love for them would remain unchanged.

He said he solemnised his nikah with Naila Raja after consulting his parents and described the decision as a considered step towards building a peaceful and dignified life.

Imad Wasim and Sania Ashfaque were married in August 2019 and announced their separation in December 2025. Speculation about his relationship with Raja first emerged in July 2025 after the two were seen together in London.

Social media reaction remains divided, with some users expressing sympathy for Ashfaque and calling for the welfare of the children to be prioritised, while others have urged restraint, describing the matter as a private family issue.
