Earthquake tremors were felt across various districts of Sindh and Balochistan on Friday morning, prompting brief panic among residents.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) reported that the tremors occurred at 10:52am with a magnitude of 5.6 on the Richter scale.
In Sindh, areas affected included Jacobabad, Qamber Shahdadkot, Sukkur, Dadu, and surrounding districts.
In Balochistan, tremors were reported in Jhal Magsi, Jafarabad, Naseerabad, Khuzdar, Sibi, and Aosta Muhammad.
The PMD confirmed the earthquake’s depth at 13 kilometres, with its epicentre located approximately 75 kilometers southeast of Khuzdar.
No immediate reports of casualties or structural damage have been released.
