Choosing to bat first after winning the toss, the UAE set a target of 173 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs, with Captain Muhammad Waseem with 66 runs and Alishan Sharafu with 55 runs anchoring the innings with well‑timed half‑centuries.

Mayank Kumar contributed 21 runs, while the other batsmen could not show much performance.

Matt Henry took 2 wickets for New Zealand, while Jacob Duffy, Mitchell Santner, Lockie Ferguson and Glenn Phillips took one wicket each.

In reply, New Zealand’s opener Tim Seifert led the chase with an unbeaten 89 runs, with Finn Allen scoring 84 runs as the pair shared an unbroken opening stand.

The Black Caps reached the target with 28 balls to spare, sealing a comprehensive win without the loss of a wicket.
