Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) chairman Aminul Islam has arrived in Lahore to participate in an emergency meeting of the International Cricket Council (ICC) with officials from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
According to sources, Aminul Islam is also scheduled to meet senior PCB officials to discuss the current situation regarding the T20 World Cup, bilateral cricket relations, and future series between the two countries.
During his visit, the BCB chief will engage in discussions aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two cricket boards and promoting regional cricket.
He will attend several meetings and sessions in Lahore and is expected to join the virtual ICC emergency meeting with PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi.
The sources said that Aminul Islam will return to Dhaka later today.
His visit is being regarded as a significant step in boosting cricketing ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
The emergency ICC meeting comes amid tensions over Pakistan’s boycott of its T20 World Cup match against India.
