Four facilitators of the Islamabad suicide bomber have been arrested by law enforcement agencies during raids in Peshawar and Nowshera, sources confirmed on Saturday.
The arrest came in the wake of ongoing investigations into the deadly suicide explosion at a mosque in the Tarlai area of Islamabad, which claimed 31 lives and injured dozens.
According to officials, the mastermind of the attack is an Afghan Daesh commander who has also been apprehended.
The attack, including its planning, training, and radicalisation, was reportedly carried out under Daesh networks in Afghanistan.
Security sources warned that terrorists operating under the Afghan Taliban’s supervision posed a major threat to peace in the region.
Authorities have stated that intelligence-based operations against terrorists will continue.
