Hyderabad sign Saim Ayub for record Rs126m ahead of PSL 2026

Debutant Hyderabad unveiled their high-profile squad for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026, announcing the signings of Saim Ayub, Usman Khan, Maaz Sadaqat and Akif Javed.

The franchise made the announcement through a social media post featuring animated visuals of the four players, welcoming them to the team ahead of the upcoming season.

Saim Ayub emerged as the biggest signing, becoming the most expensive player in PSL history after Hyderabad secured him for a record Rs126 million.

The dynamic all-rounder was previously part of Peshawar Zalmi but was released due to limited retention slots.

Hyderabad also signed wicketkeeper-batter Usman Khan for Rs46.2 million following his release by Multan Sultans, while Maaz Sadaqat and Akif Javed were acquired for Rs35 million and Rs19.6 million, respectively.

Earlier, the franchise had also announced the signing of Australian star Marnus Labuschagne for the 2026 season, who is expected to play a key role in strengthening Hyderabad’s batting line-up.

With these high-profile acquisitions, Hyderabad have signalled their intent ahead of the PSL 2026 auction, where the franchise is expected to pursue additional marquee players while managing its budget.
