197 terrorists killed in ongoing Balochistan operations

Security forces have killed 197 terrorists during three days of sustained counter-terrorism operations across Balochistan, security sources said on Tuesday.

The operations, launched in response to a wave of coordinated militant attacks, are continuing in several areas with follow-up and sanitisation actions underway, the sources added.

According to security sources, 22 security personnel, including members of the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC), police and the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA), were martyred while defending the country and protecting civilians.

The terrorist violence also claimed the lives of 36 civilians, most of them Baloch residents. Women and children were among those killed, security sources said.

Earlier on Saturday, security forces repulsed coordinated attacks in Quetta and multiple other cities and towns, killing 92 terrorists in a single day.

Fifteen security personnel and 18 civilians were martyred during that phase of the violence.

The attacks were carried out by militants belonging to Indian-sponsored Fitna al-Hindustan, according to security officials. Targeted areas included Mastung, Nushki, Dalbandin, Kharan, Panjgur, Tump, Gwadar and Pasni.

Sources said that the security forces remain on high alert and are continuing clearance operations to eliminate remaining threats and restore stability in the affected areas.
