Timothee Chalamet misses Grammys despite first nomination

Timothee Chalamet was absent from the latest Grammy Awards, where he received his first nomination for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media for the Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown.

The award in the category went to the team behind Sinners.

Chalamet’s absence drew attention, as he has been a regular on the current awards circuit.

The 30-year-old actor was attending the London Critics’ Circle Theatre Awards, where he was named Actor of the Year.

Ahead of the ceremony, Chalamet participated in a Q&A with British filmmaker Richard Curtis to discuss his latest work.

Chalamet’s London award adds to his growing list of honours for his role as aspiring table tennis athlete Marty Mauser in Marty Supreme, directed by Josh Safdie.

He has previously won a Golden Globe and a Critics Choice award for the role, with additional nominations at the BAFTAs, SAG Awards, and the Oscars still pending.
