Karachi Traffic Police have announced that Jahangir Road, from Teen Hatti to Gurumandir, will remain closed to traffic for a week starting today.

According to the traffic authorities, the road has been closed to facilitate development and repair work.

Alternate routes have been arranged to ease traffic flow, the traffic authorities added.

Traffic heading from Teen Hatti to Gurumandir will be diverted towards Jail Chowrangi.

Heavy commercial vehicles have been advised to take routes via Dak Khana Chowrangi to Askari Park or Nazimabad No 1 Chowrangi.

Jahangir Road has long suffered from potholes and poor conditions, causing significant inconvenience to commuters.

The road has undergone repairs several times in the past.
